Purpose of Role:
The HR Assistant role is to support the HR Manager in providing comprehensive support, advice and guidance on all matters of employment to the business and ensuring policies and procedures are correctly followed and are in line with Company strategy. Additionally working with the HR Manager and the Chief People Officer help us to become ‘The Choice of Employees’ much like Acora is ‘The Choice of leaders’
Job Requirements:
The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, ability to build effective relationships at all levels within the Company and support the HR Manager in providing quality professional advice.
In this role you will:
·Support and advise Managers across the business on HR / Company Policies and procedures
·Support the HRM in managing employee relations issues in a confidential manner, including disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures
·Maintain our online HR System ( Octopus ) and monthly reporting
·Ensure absence monitoring is in line with Company guidelines
·To be involved in the recruitment and selection of staff (short-listing, interviews, etc)
·Ensure recruitment and selection process is adhered to and appropriate immigration checks are carried out.
·To manage and process the lifecycle of joiners and leavers
·Be responsible for arranging, booking and monitoring induction meetings for all new joiners and helping to develop and maintain our Induction process
·To provide HR administrative support in the following areas - PAS, benefit administration and payroll
·To assist the HRM in the development of HR policies and procedures in line with business and legal requirements
·Ensure HR practice is consistent and shared throughout the Company
Candidate Profile:
The role will be awarded to the candidate who best demonstrates that he/she has the right balance of competencies to succeed in the role.
The ideal candidate should:
Have a minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in an HR support role
Be organised with strong time management skills
Be an effective written and verbal communicator and have good listening skills
Show flexibility and be able to work on initiative
Be able to create professional documentation that can be used internally and with Clients (Word, Excel, Pdf, Visio).
