We have a vacancy for a Web Developer, who will undertake all necessary web development work on our site, www.avert.org, the world's most popular HIV and AIDS website, which attracts millions of visitors each year.
The website provides well-researched, unbiased and clear information on HIV/AIDS to a broad audience. Harnessing new developments in digital technology, the website is an accessible, engaging and appealing resource. With engaging and interactive features, such as educational games and quizzes, it is an invaluable part of HIV/AIDS education, information and support.
In the past year, we have seen a large increase in users and the Web Developer role is a fantastic opportunity to play a part in its continued success.
We are looking for a developer with experience of working on a website, with an ability to manage servers, including configuring the smooth running of web, database, email and file servers. It is essential to have excellent knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and MySQL as well as a good understanding of web standards and best practices.
AVERT’s offices are in Horsham, with free car parking and close to the train station.
